AWARD
recognizes the outstanding service of individuals who have built bridges
of dialogue, cooperation and understanding among diverse groups and
communities in Chicago’s northern suburbs.
- THE BRIDGEBUILDER
AWARD
recognizes that we live in an enormously diverse world that continues
to get smaller. This honor affirms models of success that represent
bridges of communication and hope, and demonstrates to our young people
the “heroes” of today who are taking a stand, making a difference
and building bridges for a better world.
- THE BRIDGEBUILDER
AWARD is presented by the Justice & Peace Commission of
the Chicago Province of the Society of the Divine Word. The Society
is an international Roman Catholic Order seeking to build communities
of hope and love around the world. The ChIcago Province’s headquarters
is at Techny, IL
THE BRIDGEBUILDER
AWARD for 2004 will be presented to Debra DePalma Youssef of
Northbrook, IL at a dinner in her honor on March 27 at 6pm at Divine Word
International Conference Center, 2001 Waukegan Road, Techny, IL.
A Storytelling Concert
called “JustStories:
ASIAN VOICES” will follow the dinner. Seating is limited.
