THE 2004 BRIDGEBUILDER AWARD DINNER
On March 27, at Divine Word International, Techny, IL, the BRIDGEBUILDER AWARD was presented to Northbrook community leader and activist Debra De Palma Youssef following a special public Dinner in her honor. The BRIDGEBUILDER AWARD recognizes the outstanding service of individuals who have built bridges of dialogue, cooperation and understanding between diverse groups and communities in Chicago’s northern suburbs. Coworkers and neighbors in Northbrook’s civic and religious communities who nominated De Palma, praised her as a bridge builder, a doer and a healer. Joining those who paid tribute to De Palma at the Dinnner were Illinois State Representative Elaine Nekritz, members of Northbrook’s Human Relations Commission and members of the Northbrook Islamic Cultural Center.
The BRIDGEBUILDER AWARD is presented by the Justice & Peace Commission
